A very hardy species of passionflower vine, resprouting from the roots and growing up to 20′ in a year. The showy, intricate purple-pink blooms last from mid summer until frost. The fruits, or ‘Maypops’ are tasty but difficult to ripen in Whatcom County. Prefers a well-drained soil with some summer moisture.
