Blossom of the Snow Edelweiss

Alpine perennial with curious white star-shaped flowers atop linear silvery-green foliage. Grows to 16″ tall. Needs well-drained gritty soil in full sun. Great cut flower, fresh or dried. Drought and deer resistant once established. Prefers alkaline to neutral soil and dislikes winter wet – a good addition in alpine troughs or containers that can be protected from winter rain. This cultivar is considered an improved form of the species, which is rare in the wild.
