Select Vine Maple Notes
Acer circinatum, our native Vine Maple, is closely related to the Asian species that are called, as a group, Japanese Maples. These named forms of vine maple were selected for form and leaf interest, and like seedling vine maples, prefer sun to partial shade and rich, well drained soils. With summer moisture, many forms can thrive in full sun in our cool summer climate, but in warmer summer climates need more shade.
Maples are only available for pick up- we do not ship them.
