Selected in Peru, this variety is particularly sweet, although still best cooked when grown in the PNW. A small ornamental tree, growing 10-12′ in height, with silky white blooms and attractive flaking bark. Fruit is rich in pectin and vitamin C with a floral aroma; fabulous in jellies or preserves.
