Upright, often multistemmed Japanese magnolia with fragrant, silky white blooms very similar to the closely related star magnolia, but faster growing. Does not bloom as well as a young tree in the nursery container, which is why it’s not as popular in the trade. Matures into a gorgeous four-season tree, eventually 30-40′ tall. Any well-drained soil, sun to part shade. Deer resistant.
Hardy to zone 5
