Mountain Gordlinia

White camellia like blooms in late summer – autumn with light fragrance. Semi-evergreen foliage on an upright, multi-stemmed tree to 20′. Sporadic red fall color. Rich, well-drained soil with medium moisture. Heat tolerant. Rare intergeneric hybrid involving the famous Franklinia alatamaha, but somewhat easier to grow than the species. Best protected from cold winter winds.
